Tocotrienols: A Look at their Role in Metabolic Health, Diabetic Complications, and Immunity, with Dr Badariah Ahmad
In this webinar, Dr Badariah Ahmad explores the clinical findings with the natural blend of tocotrienols and alpha-tocopherol found in palm oil. This naturally occurring blend of vitamin E isomers functions in the body to specifically support numerous metabolic-related health conditions, and also plays a role in supporting healthy immune function.
Supported by multicenter, randomized controlled human trials, the clinical findings with this natural blend of vitamin E isomers indicate benefits for metabolic health, especially for complications associated with poor blood sugar balance and liver health (fatty liver). Research has also shown tocotrienols to play a role in normal, healthy immune function, which will be looked at in brief. Dr. Badariah will highlight findings from recent research pertaining to diabetic complications (diabetic neuropathy and diabetic kidney disease), and how tocotrienols may help avert these progressive changes.
As fat-soluble compounds, tocotrienols’ bioavailability is naturally poor and erratic, irrespective of the presence or absence of alpha-tocopherol. The webinar will also address this challenge by reviewing the 3B’s (Bioavailability, Bioefficiency and Bioefficacy) of a bioenhanced full spectrum tocotrienol system.
The webinar recording lasts for 46 minutes, including a Q & A session.
