An Ounce of Prevention: A Functional Approach to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
An Ounce of Prevention: A Functional Approach to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, with Todd Robinson, ND, FABNO
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has an estimated global prevalence of 25%.[i] Pharmaceutical interventions for NAFLD are limited, and liver transplantation is the primary treatment for decompensated patients. A functional approach to NAFLD may improve patient health and, in so doing, reduce burden on the organ transplantation system.
This webinar reviews the pathophysiology of NAFLD and provides an evidence-based exploration of natural therapeutics for addressing its root causes.
Goals and Objectives:
Uderstand the pathophysiology (and nomenclature) of NAFLD
Understand the diagnosis of NAFLD with emphasis on non-invasive techniques
Implement natural medicines to reduce the risk of liver transplantation
The webinar recording lasts 58 minutes, including a Q & A session.
